Speakers Evening: St Raphael’s Chapel

Our speaker’s evening (included with Festival tickets) will take place in St Raphael’s Chapel, opposite the festival site, starting after dinner on Saturday September 9th at 8pm. It is an intimate space with great acoustics, perfect for a Q&A with our hand picked adventurers, writers and endurance athletes.

Last year’s speaker’s included:

Richard Askwith (author of Feet In The Clouds and Running Free) who agreed to come back to Dartmoor, where his family is from. A regular orator and deputy editor of the Independent newspaper, Richard took time out from his busy schedule to join the festival. R

Ceri Rees

Ceri, who is the founder of Devon based Wild Running and co-organiser of the Something Wild Festival, is taking part in the notorious Dragon’s Back Race in May and will be raising money for MIND.

Ceri will take time out from race director’s duties to speak about his experiences in the DB, as well as his other ultra experiences, including the Fellsman and the Transalp.
